According to China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, a leading aerospace contractor in China, China launched three experimental satellites into space on Saturday morning.

These satellites belong to the series of space-based internet technology demonstrators, designed and built by the China Academy of Space Technology located in Beijing.

They were launched into the designated orbit by the Long March 2C carrier rocket, which was launched at 8:13 am from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the northwest Gobi Desert of China.

This mission marks the fourth orbital deployment of the space-based Internet technology demonstrator series of satellites. This type of satellite was first launched in July, followed by two more launches in November and December.

The Long March 2C rocket is a product of the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology located in Beijing. It is 43 meters long, 3.35 meters wide, and has a launch weight of 242.5 metric tons. This rocket is mainly used to deploy satellites to near Earth and sun synchronous orbits.

The two colleges participating in this mission are both subsidiaries of the state-owned enterprise group China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

According to insiders in the aerospace industry, this mission marks the completion of China's annual space launch plan for 2023.

So far this year, China has conducted 67 rocket launches, of which 47 were carried out by China's main carrier rocket team, the Long March Rocket family.

This year, a total of 12 rockets manufactured by Chinese private companies were used to launch satellites, far exceeding previous years, indicating that China's space industry strength is on the rise.
