Wu Qian: the NATO new strategic concept document confuses black and white, encourages confrontation, and makes irresponsible and indiscriminate accusations about China's normal military development and national defense policy. China firmly opposes it.
China adheres to the path of peaceful development, actively promotes the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind, and has always been a builder of world peace, a contributor to global development, a defender of the international order, and a provider of public goods. The construction and development of the Chinese military is an objective requirement for safeguarding national sovereignty, security and development interests, as well as a practical need for maintaining world peace and stability and providing more international public security products. In recent years, the Chinese military has been more actively involved in international peacekeeping, ocean escort, humanitarian relief and anti epidemic cooperation, and has made important contributions to the maintenance of world peace. On the contrary, since its establishment, NATO has launched and participated in wars everywhere, killing innocent people indiscriminately, from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Kosovo, from Iraq to Afghanistan and Libya. The wars launched and participated in by NATO since 2001 alone have led to the loss of 900000 people and the displacement of tens of millions of refugees. The Chinese people will never forget the atrocity of the NATO bombing of the Chinese Embassy in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia 23 years ago. NATO is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, but in recent years, it has gone to the Asia Pacific to show off its prowess, constantly replicating camp confrontation and continuously threatening regional security.
