The Civil Aviation Administration of China announced on Saturday that it will strive to significantly increase direct flights between China and the United States in 2024.
Official data shows that the number of regular direct passenger flights between the world's top two economies has increased to 63 per week.
The Civil Aviation Administration of China said that in 2024, China will also actively expand air traffic rights arrangements with countries along the "the Belt and Road" and deepen cooperation with Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
The government will also strive to improve visa and border control policies, and further promote the customs clearance process.
