Zhu Yin, born on October 25, 1971 in Hong Kong, China, has ancestral roots in Shunde, Guangdong Province, China. She graduated from the Drama Department of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and is a Hong Kong actress and singer.

In 1995, she gained more attention for her role as the Purple Cloud Fairy in the costume comedy film "Journey to the West: The Great Sage Gets Married".

In December 2018, Zhu Yin won the Best Actress award at the 13th Paris China Film Festival for her performance in "Second First Love".
