After a journey of over 700 kilometers from Jiangsu, a baby girl suffering from complications of premature birth was sent to a hospital in Beijing for treatment on Thursday. Thanks to the cooperation and assistance of the traffic police along the way, this journey was completed in only 8 hours.

Under the escort of police cars, the ambulance passed through the evening rush hour traffic in the capital and arrived at Peking University First Hospital around 5 pm.

Due to premature birth at less than six months of pregnancy, both the girl and her twin brothers were born in January, and the situation is critical. This boy only lived for four days.

This girl suffers from pulmonary hypertension and hydrocephalus, and is at risk of complications such as heart failure and breathing difficulties, which may endanger her life. She has been receiving treatment in several hospitals since birth, and her parents have decided to take her to Beijing for better treatment.

Accompanied by medical staff and family, the girl departed from Xuzhou, Jiangsu in the morning. Along the way, provincial and municipal traffic police will cooperate to ensure smooth roads, provide relay escort, open green channels on highways, and change traffic lights to green.

According to the ambulance driver surnamed Zhang, apart from refueling, the vehicle hardly ever stopped along the way, maintaining maximum speed while ensuring safety.
